Four Little Monkeys...

While their Mommy and Daddy were on their way back from Vegas, we met my precious nephews for a morning at the Monkey's Treehouse! To quote David, these 4 little boys "HAD A BLAST"!
David and Ryan checking out the view from the treehouse...

Dawson, enjoying himself as always.

Surprise... amid all of the wonderful activities, the best of course (and in this family) will always be the vehicle. Flash forward to about 13 years from now- SCARY!Yes, the climbingist monkey of them all- who doesn't realize that he is a little too young to be hitting the top of this!

Waiting for Daddy

Every evening if you drove by this is what you would see out our window- 2 boys waiting for Daddy. If you were a birdie on the window, you would also hear "nope- not Daddy's car". Of course, the moment he does pull in the excitement and elation is as if they haven't seen each other in years! This is by far up there in the category of best moments of each day!

You're My Blue Eyed Boys

This is the whole reason this boy likes to go to the pool- THE CHERRY ICEE!!!

And this little love likes just about anything!

We finally joined the pool this year! David is enjoying the water more this year- hopefully Dawson will be exposed to it more so he will possibly avoid that little phobia. In addition to the fantastic fun we've had, it has been a great place to see old friends and catch up. We've been going to the pool where my mom took us when I was their age. I didn't think I would remember much about my days there, but it is amazing how your favorite sights (can't you old schoolers just picture those platforms?), sounds (summer time tunes and splashing around), and of course the smells (chlorine, sunscreen, and concession stands) can open the flood gates of memories while in the midst of making new ones. Take it all in friends, there are only a few more weeks until the pool days of '08 are coming to an end!

Do I dare disturb the universe?

Every blog seems to have its inception story- I toiled with the idea, and as the joiner I seem to be- here goes: I've wanted to start a blog, but hesitated. I have been quite happy looking at other blogs on occasion, and leaving my corner of the world to itself. But there also seems to be something so liberating about having a place to put it down- those thoughts and notions that circulate through my brain. And in a very non-me kindof way, I am going to just let go of the notion that it should be perfect, not worry about what it sounds or looks like- and just enjoy it for what it becomes.
